Goals from Ronaldo, Bale, Benzema, his hundredth for the club, Di María and Morata sealed the win against Real Betis for the fifth in as many matches this year.
Real Madrid keep picking up points in 2014 and are joint top of La Liga. The Whites were far superior to Real Betis in their win at the Benito Villamarín Stadium and continued their one hundred percent record this year. They now have five wins in as many matches and have not conceded a single goal. Today’s win was forged in a first half in which they scored three goals worthy of being framed. The first was scored by top scorer Cristiano Ronaldo with an exceptional shot into the top corner from the edge of the box. The second came from a Bale free-kick and the third was scored by Benzema after a superb piece of play from Modric, who had a great match. The ambitious Whites were not satisfied with three and in the second half, Di María’s 30-yard screamer into the bottom corner, then Morata’s close-range finish completed the rout. An exhibition with five different scorers and now the team switch their minds to the cup quarter-final against Espanyol.
